The small Church of St. Barbara in the suburban part of Mladá Boleslav – Debř nad Jizerou was established next to the local cemetery during the gothic period. The church does not have a tower to this day.
At least a separate belfry with an onion-domed roof covered with shingle was built next to the church at the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century. The octagonal floorplan makes this remarkable structure one of the most atypic belfries in the Czech Republic.
