The oldest tombstone in the local Jewish cemetery, which could be accurately dated, is from 1604.
However, in addition to several other Renaissance-style tombstones, the cemetery is dominated by sandstone and marble tombstones in the Baroque and Empire styles. The most important figure to have been buried here was Jakub Bashevi (1634), the financier of Albrecht von Wallenstein; he was historically the first Jew to be ennobled. In the preserved Mortuary and Funeral Hall there is an exhibition related to the local roots and traditions of the Jewish culture.
