At the beginning of 2015, the new municipal swimming pool was opened below Dr. Pírek's Sanatorium (Sanatorium Dr. Pírka), very close to Štěpánka Forest Park.

The modern building provides a variety of sporting and leisure activities for people of all ages. The site of the pool has an exciting history, which is referred to by a small skull on the Info panel. The original gallows used to be located near the pool. Ignatius Schiffner from Dubá near Doksy was reportedly the last man to have been executed here in 1774. He had murdered his father. Poet Karel Hynek Mácha borrowed his story for his "Máj"
