Metal symposium 2013
Felicity Jones was the last artist we acquired for the 2013 Metal Symposium. She was recommended to us by the British Artist Blacksmiths Association. However, she had first of all contacted us herself, even before we managed to invite her to the Symposium, which of course pleased us. Felicity Jones had worked on an artwork intended for one of the UK's biggest festivals; the Glastonbury Festival, which was a great reference. She had also participated in the Robodock ADM arts festival in the Netherlands.
Felicity Jones needed a press for her work. We were not sure if we could provide it, but promised to do our best. Unfortunately, our efforts were unsuccessful and she was therefore unable to complete her work in time. Her professional pride, however, made her request to finish her work at home. Since a "semi-finished work" was useless to us as well, we were glad that she came up with this proposal and was willing to finish the work in her own free time.
We are delighted to have her work of art, called "Growth". Felicity Jones currently presents herself under the artistic name of “Black Dog Forge”. She was the first artist to represent the female sex at the Metal Symposium. You can admire "Growth" in the publicly accessible garden of Dr. Pírek's Clinic, where you can also view some beautiful, interesting trees.
